【DSPPA】 Editor of Double National Standard

In May 2010, Technical Code for Public Address System Engineering (GB50526-2010), the world’s first national standard for public engineering with DSPPA as the chief editor, was issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of PRC, establishing China's independent intellectual property right in the field of Public Address (short for PA) system.



As the globalization has gathered momentum, China’s national standard was supposed to go global; Once again, DSSPA, the national benchmarking enterprise, was designated to render Technical Code for Public Address System Engineering into English together with other relevant units. The English version of the national standard was approved and officially issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the PRC, a pioneering project for China to put the internationalization strategy of national standards into practice.

With ever-changing technology, modification was necessary to be done over theTechnical Code for Public Address System Engineering(GB50526-2010). As a result,Technical Standard for Public Address System Engineering(GB/T50526-2021) went public in October 1, 2021.



It was also completed with DSSPA as the chief editor based on the former one, incorporating the cutting-edge technology and lastest requirement of this field. Technical Standard for Public Address System Engineering (GB/T50526-2021) is more scientific and pragmatic, demonstrating the advanced engineering technology of PA system.



In addition, DSPPA is also the drafting unit of the Methods of Measurement for the Characteristics of Sound Reinforcement in Auditoria (GB/T4959-2011), which furthers people's understanding of the five acoustic characteristics of sound reinforcement systems in auditoria and epitomizes the standardization of this field.



DSPPA will continue to contribute its solution and wisdom to the public address system in coming years.
