(1) Sound wave radiation pattern: The sound wave radiation pattern of a line array loudspeaker system is similar to a column wave, which is similar to a line source. The sound wave radiation pattern of a conventional loudspeaker system is similar to a spherical wave, which is similar to a point source.
(2) Coverage angle: Line array loudspeakers have a smaller coverage angle than conventional loudspeakers.
(3) Sound pressure attenuation: When the distance is doubled, the sound pressure level of a line array loudspeaker decreases by 3dB; the sound pressure level of a point source loudspeaker decreases by 6dB.
